GS Entertainment’s All Stars Football Club (ASFC) played a friendly match against the Govind Chouhan Cricket Academy (GCCA) on Jan 24 at the Jayanti Stadium in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. ASFC was led by Abhishek Bachchan and the team included Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Dino Morea, Shabir Ahluwalia, Caesar Gonsalves, Karan Wahi, Marc Robinson, Karan Veer Mehra, Rohan Shrestha, Antoni Pecora, Raj Kundra, Sachiin Joshi, Nishant Mehra, Armaan Jain and Shoojit Sircar. ASFC won the match 11 – 1, while funds raised went to Magic Bus via ASFC. The ticketed event was attended by around 3000 people. Event partners included Rama TMT (a brand out of Raipur) and Nike. ASFC comprises of celebrities from all walks of life – Bollywood, Sports, Television and Fashion - who come together to play football for various causes. The club was founded in 2006 by GS Worldwide Entertainment, which also manages the team.
Govind Chouhan Cricket Academy (GCCA 11) consisted of former cricket players and celebrities. The GCCA 11 was led by Salil Ankola and the team consisted of Rajesh Chauhan, Irfan Pathan, Sangram Singh, Sanath Jayasuriya, Romesh Kaluwitharna, Chaminda Vaas, Vinod Kambli, Venkatapathy Raju, Amay Khurasiya, and Sunil Joshi among others.
