CHENNAIYIN FC AFC CUP PLAYOFF

GS Sports, a division of GS Worldwide Entertainment was assigned to execute the AFC Cup qualifying playoff at The Arena by Transstadia, Ahmedabad for Chennaiyin FC against Sri Lankan club Colombo FC. Chennaiyin FC won the ISL season 4 by beating Bengaluru FC and secured their spot in the 2019 AFC Cup qualifying playoff. After the successful execution of ISL Seasons 3, 4, and 5 in Chennai, the team owners Vita Dani and Abhishek Bachchan trusted Team GS yet again to take charge of operations of the crucial fixture. 

Chennaiyin FC got GS Sports on board to execute the stadium and venue operations. The match was on March 13th, 2019 and the execution team had everything ready on time. The branding, housekeeping and other departments were much appreciated by the guests, AFC officials and the clubs.

The directional signages donned club colours so that the spectators could feel the vigor of the team that they put in for every game. 

Team GS made sure that nothing much was damaged and if there was any, the replacement was done at the earliest. The team had to be really vigilant about the equipment, field of play, banners, branding, and regular housekeeping. All it took was a vigilant team who trusted in perfection to detail. The sponsors were allocated spaces for their outlets and various stands had specific branding according to the sponsors. To ensure that everything ran smoothly, GS paid special attention to their requirements and no lapses took place.

The essential facilities like Team Dressing Rooms, Referee Dressing Room, Match Officials Room, Media Centre, Media Tribune and Press Conference Room were all fully-functional equipped with amenities provided. The match was broadcast through Facebook Live and to facilitate it, a six-camera setup was established successfully. The security for a football match is a major concern for all the authorities as the spectators might get emotionally involved and may get into an argument leading to chaos. During the match, there were no security lapses and Team GS successfully maintained a high level of security for both celebrities and players.
